The Arris Touchstone Family of Telephony Modems are embedded multimedia terminal adapters (E-MTA) for delivering Voice over IP and high-speed data access. The Touchstone Telephony Modem is generating Voice over IP profits for MSOs today because it's adaptable, feature rich design provides the flexibility to interoperate seamlessly in any PacketCable™ or Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) based network. Features include 2, 4, 8, or 12 lines of telephony, up to 20 hours of battery back-up capabilities and proven carrier grade performance.

All of this means the Touchstone Telephony Modems can deliver services and quality equal to or better that what consumers have come to expect from their ILEC. ARRIS remains the market leader in cable telephony subscriber premises equipment, now with E-MTAs that have achieved PacketCable™, DOCSIS 1.1 and Euro-DOCSIS 1.1 certification and are DOCSIS 2.0 and Euro-DOCSIS 2.0 based. DOCSIS 3.0 product is projected to be available middle 2008.
