C-COR Broadband in the news
In a very deliberate and focused approach, C-COR Broadband is orchestrating a higher profile for the Australian cable broadband industry. For too many years the industry’s future has been ignored by the key participants whilst being out positioned by other competing technologies like VDSL. Complicating this severe lack of promotion by the cable industry, the Australian Government’s $4.7B NBN is focused on just one of the competing technologies – FTTN presumably as an evolution of the copper network. The NBN debate completely ignores wireless and the high-performance cable broadband networks as sources of sustainable infrastructure-based competition and differentiated services to residential and business customers.
According to Liberty Global, 3 of the Top 10 ISP’s in the World are Cable Operators.
