On April 15, 2010 C-COR Broadband appeared before the Senate Select Committee on the National Broadband Network.

The Senators were interested in our novel idea that a $250m Australia Broadband Guarantee-like program would excite the adoption of superfast broadband. C-COR has suggested that a $200 bounty for each new superfast broadband connection would positively impact the business case for the broadband operators. It will reward them to invest in the last 100 metres of access in to residential and apartment buildings. It would remove a price barrier to consumers that have a need for superfast broadband and don't like long-term contracts.
Our solution could be launched with a short cycle and unlike the problematic $43 billion National Broadband Network which seems to be struggling on issues like gaining Local Government approvals for an aerial build.
